A Tough Summer for So Many

While many of us have had a very good few months, it’s been a very hard Summer for many across North America this year. The wildfires in British Columbia have impacted many areas and left so much destruction. Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted.

In late August, Hurricane Harvey hit a number of Caribbean countries as well as the Southern United States. Parts of Texas were hit very hard and lives were lost. The Houston, Texas area was directly impacted and the pictures were reminiscent of the devastating floods that Calgary dealt with in 2013. Again, our hearts go out to those impacted across that region.

For those of you who have Real Estate Investments in the Houston area, you may also be concerned about your investment. We’ve paid close attention to this and have been in contact with those on the ground in Texas. As bad as this storm has been, it appears that the properties themselves have been virtually unaffected. We’ve been getting good updates on this and I’ll be sure to let investors know if there is anything else to report in the coming months.

Stay safe out there,

Bryce A. Borden
