Canada Day, The Stampede and the Start of the Summer

We’re just coming off of Stampede Week and our recent Saskatchewan road trip. We took in a wedding in Regina and also made stops in Swift Current and Moose Jaw. The weather was warm and we had a great time. We also had a good Canada Day taking in the parade in Airdrie.

Of course, we have also had news on the situation in Greece along the way. They went through a Historic vote and as I am writing this, we are still uncertain about Greece’s future in the European Union. This situation in Europe has resulted in a lot of volatility in the market and it is likely that we’ll continue to experience a lot of ups and downs until there is more certainty in the region.

I know it’s Summer and many people won’t want to delve into these things right now but please let me know if you’d like to discuss how these global situations impact your portfolio. I’ve still got a couple more weddings to attend but I’ll have plenty of time to meet with clients and have some phone conversations.

Hope you’re all having a great Summer!
