Final Weeks for Tax Returns

We’ve had some beautiful weather here in Calgary as I write this but also some snow storms. As usual, we’re having some erratic weather in the city but expecting to see more sun and less snowfall in the coming weeks.

What is more certain, is that income tax will be due at the end of the month! Last month, I reminded everyone to take their T-slips and their RRSP Contribution Receipts to the accountant. I stressed that Non-Registered Account Statements should also be brought in and any Investment Loan Interest Statements too.

For anyone who has invested in Flow-Through Shares in the last year, you’ll have recently received some tax information which should also be used to fill in your tax return. Remember Flow-Through Shares can come with some very lucrative tax incentives so you won’t want to forget these when you submit.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about any of the above. Other than spending some time with family over Easter, we’ll be staying close to home until the girls are out for Summer Break!
