Making the Best of It

All things considered, we’ve had a pretty good summer so far. It’s hard to treat this like a normal summer, but we’ve spent a lot of time outside and enjoyed the sunshine that we’ve had in the Calgary area. We’ve done some bike riding and even got out to Gull Lake, AB for a couple of nights. We’ve definitely got in a lot of quality time with our three girls and hugged them a little tighter this year.

I know that many people are struggling and this continues to be a very frustrating and confusing time. With school starting in September, I imagine that we’ll only see that confusion increase. To add insult to injury, we dealt with major hailstorms here in Calgary this summer. Parts of the city’s Northeast got hit extremely hard with major damage done to many homes and vehicles. In July parts of the Southeast were also hit with hail. It’s just been a year that keeps on giving. I think a lot of us just want to see 2021 by now.

We are going to continue doing meetings over Microsoft Teams and Zoom for the foreseeable future. I was hoping to open things up again by now but with the recent numbers going up again, I think it’s best for everyone that we continue to operate this way. We are only a phone call away if you need us though so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
