Portfolio Strategies Nominee Account Transfers

My last email talked about the transfers from Canadian Western Trust Accounts over to PSC Nominee Accounts. This transition took place at the end of June and was supposed to be complete by early July. Things didn’t move as quickly as we had hoped. While many of the assets in these CWT plans moved right away, some investments lagged. It wasn’t until the end of July that we got word that everything had finally left Canadian Western Trust. Needless to say, it was a whole month of going back and forth with CWT and PSC following these mergers.

I have already contacted many of you of you about your Nominee Accounts and how they can be utilized. For those of you that I haven’t had a chance to discuss the new plans with, it’s because of the delays I mentioned above. As I write this, it looks like all but a few Exempt Market Securities are showing in the Nominee plans. I will now be able to sit down with anyone who had to wait through this delay!

By the time you get this newsletter, we’ll already be a couple of weeks into August. We’ve had a very hot summer this year and have spent a lot of time outside. The girls have enjoyed a lot of time riding their bikes and getting to local parks. We also spent some time at the Stampede after we got back from a road trip out to Winnipeg in July. At the end of July, we had Natalie’s mom come to Calgary and look after our girls for a few nights. Natalie and I got to take our first vacation without kids since before we had them! We spent our time in and around Radium Hot Springs, BC and returned home through Cranbrook. We’d never actually spent time in that part of BC before so it was a fantastic little getaway.

Have a great finish to the summer and hope to talk to you soon!
